On the occasion of Eid - Mubaraq, to show the unity between Islam and Christianity, Nithiyan Sooryan Prayer House organized an Organ Donation and Blood Donation Camp on 09th August 2013.
An information stall was placed in the Prayer House which was manned by Ms. Kavitha, Transplant Coordinator, represented both MOHAN Foundation and Cadaver Transplant Programme (CTP).
The following aspects were highlighted in the programme by one to one interaction:
The participants raised queries on:
1 organ sharing and allocation
2. Contraindications in donating organs and tissues
3. Whom to be contacted in case of emergency,
4. I am short sighted can I donate the Organs.
At the end of the session, 20 people showed their support for the cause by taking a pledge to become an organ donor.
