Panacea Biotec Ltd, a leading Research Based Health Management Company, observed Organ Donation day at its head office in New Delhi on August 6, 2013. MOHAN Foundation was invited to lead the sign-up drive and Ms. Pallavi Kumar, Executive Director (Delhi-NCR) was invited as the Guest of Honour.
Dr Rajesh Jain, Joint Managing Director addressed the employees. In his address he said, "No religion prohibits organ donation and in fact this great act of daan (donation) builds positive karma for an individual. The awareness camp today aims at creating Ambassadors of this honourable cause in our individual capacities within the organisation." Further; Dr. Jain signed the donor card and urged the other employees to do the same.
Ms. Pallavi Kumar stressed that organ donation cannot be brushed under the carpet anymore and that it was each person's responsibility to be aware, to ask questions, to clarify doubts and further to make an informed decision.
The program was attended by close to 150 employees and about 70 participants signed the donor card.
