On February 12, 2026, Mr. Mukesh Kumar Singh from MOHAN Foundation conducted an organ donation awareness stall at Morabadi, Ranchi, for the general public. The stall was organized with the objective of spreading awareness about organ and tissue donation and helping people understand the importance of this life-saving and humanitarian act. Public awareness activities at community locations such as Morabadi provide an excellent opportunity to directly engage with people from different backgrounds and encourage informed conversations on organ donation.
During the stall, Mr. Singh explained the concepts of organ and tissue donation, brain death, and cardiac death in simple and easy-to-understand language. He also shared information about the organs and tissues that can be donated and discussed the legal aspects related to organ donation in India. In addition, he addressed common myths and misconceptions surrounding donation, ensuring that the participants received accurate information and greater clarity on the subject.
A total of 23 people attended the stall and actively participated in the discussion. The interaction was meaningful and engaging, with participants showing interest in learning more about the donation process and its importance in saving lives. One of the questions raised during the interaction was, “How does skin donation happen?” This query was addressed during the session, helping participants better understand the process and significance of skin donation as an important form of tissue donation.
Overall, the session was interactive and informative, and it played an important role in creating awareness among the public about the importance of organ and tissue donation. The activity reflected MOHAN Foundation’s continued commitment to educating communities, dispelling misconceptions, and fostering a supportive attitude toward organ donation through sustained public outreach efforts.
