Awareness Session on Organ Donation Conducted at Booty More Bus Stop, Ranchi

  • On February 10, 2026, Mr. Mukesh Kumar Singh from MOHAN Foundation conducted an organ donation awareness stall at Booty More Bus Stop, Ranchi. The stall was organized for interested members of the public with the objective of spreading awareness about organ and tissue donation and encouraging people to understand the importance of this noble and life-saving act. Public places such as bus stops provide a valuable platform to reach diverse groups of people and create awareness among the general community.

    During the stall, Mr. Singh explained the concepts of organ and tissue donation, brain death, and cardiac death in simple and easy-to-understand language. He also shared information about the organs and tissues that can be donated and discussed the legal aspects related to organ donation in India. In addition, common myths and misconceptions associated with organ donation were clarified so that the participants could receive correct information and develop a better understanding of the subject.

    A total of 35 interested people visited the stall and actively participated in the discussion. The interaction was lively and informative, with participants showing curiosity and interest in learning more about donation and transplantation. One of the questions raised during the session was, “What is eye donation?” This query was addressed during the discussion, helping participants understand the meaning and significance of eye donation as an important form of tissue donation.

    Overall, the session was interactive and effective in creating awareness among the general public. The stall contributed to MOHAN Foundation’s continued efforts to educate communities, clear misconceptions, and promote positive attitudes toward organ and tissue donation through direct outreach activities.
