An eye donation awareness session was conducted on January 15, 2026, at Sonopant Dandekar Shikshan Mandali (SDSM) College, Palghar, with the objective of educating students about the importance of eye donation and encouraging them to contribute to this noble cause.
The session provided detailed information on the concept and significance of eye donation, emphasizing its role in restoring vision for individuals suffering from corneal blindness. Participants were guided through the eye donation process, including eligibility criteria and the necessary steps to be followed at the time of donation.
Common myths and misconceptions related to eye donation were addressed and clarified with factual explanations, helping to build awareness and confidence among the attendees. The students were also encouraged to pledge for eye donation and to act as ambassadors for spreading awareness in their communities.
Approximately 12 NCC students attended the session. The participants were attentive and engaged, making the session informative and impactful.
