On January 31, 2026, MOHAN Foundation conducted an awareness session on organ and cornea donation for the employees of Nithya Amirtham Pvt. Ltd. at their corporate office in Nungambakkam, Chennai. Around 23 staff participated in the session. The programme commenced with Dr. Hemal Kanvinde, Quality Assurance Officer of MOHAN Foundation felicitating Mr. Gopi, Head of HR, and Mr. Johnson, Senior HR, for their support in organizing the session.
The session included the screening of a short organ donation awareness video directed by Vijay, which helped introduce the topic effectively. Ms. Kanishka, Project Executive, MOHAN Foundation then delivered a talk on cornea donation, explaining its importance, the need for corneal transplants, precautions to be followed, and clearing common myths.
This was followed by a brief and informative talk by Dr. Hemal on organ donation, explaining key concepts such as brain death, the importance of timely consent, and the role of organ donation in saving multiple lives and the process of registering to get an organ in case of organ failure.
The session concluded with an interactive Tamil movie–based quiz that reinforced facts and dispelled myths about organ donation. MOHAN Foundation expressed its gratitude to Nithya Amirtham Pvt. Ltd. for providing the opportunity to conduct the awareness session.
