The Tamil Nadu State Branch of the Akhil Bhartiya Marwari Mahila Sammelan held a felicitation ceremony on January 4, 2026, at Bikanervala, Chennai. Approximately 150 members of the Tamil Nadu branch, along with their family and friends, attended the ceremony.
During the event, Dr. Sunil Shroff was honoured for his contributions and the work of MOHAN Foundation by Ms. Sharda Agarwal, President of the Tamil Nadu chapter of the Marwari Committee. The other dignitaries present were Mr. Kumar Jayant, IAS – CMD of Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation, and Ms. Ruchi Pritam – Professor and author based in Chennai.
Ms. Sharda Agarwal, spoke about their main activities such as blood donation, organ donation, child development, women empowerment, art and culture, and the environment.
The felicitation concluded with a vote of thanks, followed by lunch. The MOHAN Foundation team also set up an information desk with brochures to create awareness on organ donation. Twelve members who had already pledged collected their donor cards, while new members came forward to pledge their organs during the event.
