On March 5, 2026, MOHAN Foundation, Tripura conducted an awareness programme on organ donation at Jagatpur, Sidhai Mohanpur, West Tripura, to educate the local community about the importance of organ donation and encourage them to pledge for this noble cause.
MOHAN Foundation was represented by Ms. Nipa Modak, Program Executive, Tripura.
The session was conducted by Ms. Nipa Modak. She introduced the mission and activities of MOHAN Foundation and explained the concept of organ donation, including the types of donation, organs and tissues that can be donated, and the significance of brain death and deceased organ donation.
The session also highlighted the growing number of organ failure cases and the gap between the demand and availability of organs in India. It addressed common myths and misconceptions related to organ donation and encouraged community participation in promoting this life-saving cause.
Informational leaflets on organ donation were distributed among the participants. A total of 10 participants attended the programme.
