Adani Electricity Mumbai Ltd (AEML) in partnership with MOHAN Foundation, had launched ‘Jeevan Amrut – The Sweetest Gift of Life’, a campaign to raise awareness about the importance of organ donation for all their employees. As part of this programme, on August 9th, 2022, Adani Electricity Mumbai Ltd organized an awareness workshop on organ donation for labourers and non-executive staff of Adani Electricity, Bandra division, Mumbai.
Ms. Sonali of CSR team spoke a few words about organ donation and introduced the speakers Ms. Rashmi and Mr. Jagdish of MOHAN Foundation to the audience.
Ms. Rashmi gave a motivational talk on organ donation, she introduced MOHAN Foundation and its activities and discussed the need and importance of organ donation in India, she encouraged and appealed to each one of them to pledge their organs and save lives. She also shared the importance of donor card and discussing the wish with the family members. 90 participants attended this session.
Mr. Jagdish discussed about the role of a Transplant Coordinator in government hospitals. He shared information about types of donors, organs and tissues donated after brain death and circulatory death. The session was interesting because the participants clarified their doubts about organ donation and came forward to pledge their organs.

All the questions were answered promptly and patiently. A skit on organ donation was performed by the N.S.S students of M.D College which portrayed the concepts of organ donation in a simpler manner.
