Adani Electricity Mumbai Ltd (AEML) in partnership with MOHAN Foundation, had launched ‘Jeevan Amrut – The Sweetest Gift of Life’, a campaign to raise awareness about the importance of organ donation for all their employees. As part of this programme, on August 4th, 2022, Adani Electricity Mumbai Ltd organized an awareness workshop on organ donation for labourers and non-executive staff of Adani Electricity, Andheri division, Mumbai.
Ms. Sonali of CSR team spoke a few words about organ donation and introduced the speaker Ms. Rashmi Shetty to the audience. Ms. Rashmi gave an introduction about MOHAN Foundation and its activities and then discussed the importance of organ donation in India. She encouraged and appealed to each one of them to pledge their organs and save many lives. She also emphasized the importance of donor pledge and discussing the wish with the family members, concept of Brain death and Circulatory death was explained in detail. The session was interactive and informative. Close to 100 people participated in the event.

A skit on organ donation was then presented in Marathi, by the NSS students of Maharashi Dayanand College. Through the skit, the students creatively conveyed information on the importance of organ donation, types of donors, organs that could be donated, way to pledge organs and where can one contact to get more information. A difficult topic was portrayed in a simple manner.
