  • On January 1, 2026 – To usher in the New Year with a spirit of compassion and hope, a highly successful organ donation awareness session was conducted at the Zion Prayer House in Yacharam. The session leveraged the New Year’s theme of "new beginnings" to inspire life-changing decisions through the gift of organ donation.

The initiative, led by Project Manager Mr. Venkatesh Kattela, reached over 30 church fellowship members. The discussion was uniquely tailored to the setting, emphasizing how an altruistic act of donation aligns with humanitarian values and can create wonders in the lives of those awaiting transplants.

A significant portion of the session was dedicated to addressing religious acceptance and debunking common myths that often act as barriers to donation. The comprehensive discussion ensured that all participants received clear, medically accurate, and culturally sensitive information:

    • Religious Perspectives: Understanding how major faiths support organ donation as an act of charity.
    • Debunking Myths: Clarifying misconceptions regarding body integrity and the donation process.
    • The Difference Between Brain Death and Coma: Providing clarity on medical definitions.
    • The Impact of One Donor: Explaining how a single individual can save or enhance multiple lives.

The interaction was deeply engaging, with the fellowship members expressing strong support for the cause. The program concluded on a positive note, with 30 participants formally pledging to donate their organs.
