

On November 25th 2018, a walkathon in support of organ donationwas organized under the “More to Give” Campaign by NDTV- Fortis Hospital Mulund.
MOHAN Foundation being a knowledge partner participated in the 4.2 KM walkathon as well, along with its volunteers. Mr.Talat Aziz & Ms.Kyra Shroff were the invited celebrities for flagging off the walkathon. There were more than 1000 participants belonging to mixed age group.Theparticipants held bannerswith inspiring slogans relating to organ donation.
Mr.Talat Aziz said that he was heartened to see so many fellow-Mumbaikars coming together and walking the streets, showing their support to the cause of Organ Donation and that this was definitely a progressive step. He also appreciated MOHAN Foundation’s work.
Mrs.Jaya Jairam, the project manager of MOHAN Foundation Mumbai and kidney recipient who received a kidney from her mother was interviewed by the NDTV news reporter.Shealsointroduced MOHAN Foundation and shared a few important statistics about how India is lagging behind in organ donation and has given a powerful message that “one life can save up to 8 lives”.
Another couple was interviewed inwhich the wife had donated her kidney to her husband.
