  • On 16th and 17th of December 2018, Mr. Ganesh from MOHAN Foundation Hyderabad and interns from School of Social Work Roshni Nilaya 2nd Year MSW’s namely Sony Thomas and Sachin Sunny went to HITEX exhibition center, Hyderabad to attend ‘UNMUKT FESTIVAL’ as part of campaign on human organ donation.

UNMUKT FESTIVAL is India’s first ever event for senior citizens customized to meet the needs of older persons and their families. The Festival is a pioneering event that will bridge the gap between the providers of solutions for senior citizens and the audience for whom they are meant in a real-time, experiential environment. UNMUKT is designed not only for senior citizens and soon-to-be-retirees, but also for the ‘caregiver’ generation that is looking for lifestyle solutions for its parents and grandparents.

A stall was duly reserved for MOHAN Foundation in the exhibition center. The exhibition was mainly for the elderly and their care givers. The trainees interacted with the people regarding the concept of organ donation to access the perception regarding organ donation. Most of the people were unaware of the organ donation and it’s need.

The people who visited the stall were explained about human organ donation, its procedure, needs as well as the legal criteria for donation and a pledging card was distributed for each of them.
