State level workshop on Organ Donation organised by Red Cross Punjab at Sri Dashmesh Academy, Anandpur Sahib, Punjab

  • MOHAN Foundation was invited to conduct an awareness program on organ donation on 21st September 2019 at 11:00 AM. Principals, professors and students of various schools and colleges of Punjab were the workshop participants. Over 400 students attended the State-level workshop.

    Mr. Santosh Kumar, State Training Supervisor addressed the audience, telling them how important Organ Donation is and how it provides a great opportunity in everyone’s life to come ahead and pledge to donate their organs that can save lives.

    Ms. Neha Sharma gave the status of organ donation in India and also spoke about the people who died waiting for an organ transplant every day. When is organ transplant needed and what is organ donation. She explained about living donations and deceased donation and which organ can be donated after death.

    The audience was pleased and appreciated MOHAN Foundation's work on Organ Donation in India and the increased donation in the Chandigarh tricity. The entire audience got motivated and encouraged to support the cause of Organ Donation. The audience did applaud in the end for the efforts taken by MOHAN Foundation.

    It was a great workshop and the audience would come forward to engage by motivating others.
