

MOHAN Foundation was invited for an awareness program on Organ Donation on 17th February 2018 at 11:30 AM at the Senior Citizen Home (for women) of Andhra Mahila Sabha. Mr. Siva Shankar, helpline Executive of MOHAN Foundation was in charge for this session.
There were 15 members attending the session. Surprisingly everyone was very much interested to know the concepts. Mr. Siva Shankar started explaining the need for Organ Donation and the organs that can be donated. He explained the law which was enacted by the Government of India that explains on how organ donation is done and the government authority who allocates the organs. He shared the information about the myths about organ donation and the need of donor card.
At the end he touched on the topic of Body Donation, since they were very interested in Body Donation. The voluntary body donation registration forms were given to them for. The session went on for 45 minutes. Some question raised by the women were:
