School students impress the speaker with their knowledge on organ donation - Times of India Campaign

  • On 12th August 2015, an awareness session on organ donation was held at PSBB Millennium School, Gerugabakkam in partnership with Times of India. The session was conducted by Ms.Sunitha A.T Transplant Coordinator, MOHAN Foundation Chennai as a part of the Times India campaign on organ donation.

     Mr. Karthick and Mr. Venkat  from Times of India introduced MOHAN Foundation and about the aim of the campaign. They also appreciated MOHAN Foundation for their excellent work in sensitizing the different stake holders on importance of organ donation.

     Ms. Sunitha A T,   covered following topic during her talk

    1. Need for organ donation
    2. Concept of organ donation
    3. Natural Death and Brain Death
    4. Brain death and coma
    5. Donor Stories
    6. Myths on organ donation

    The participation level of the students was very high and they came up with very impressive responses to the questions asked. Vote of thanks was given by 10th standard student. More than 375 students from 09th to 11th standard and teachers participated in the programme.
