SDM Hospital in Dharwad, invited MOHAN Foundation and Jeevasarthakathe to conduct an awareness session on organ donation, at the hospital premises on 27th February 2020. Doctors and paramedical staff of the hospital along with some general public were the audience.
Dr. Nagaraj Naik and Dr. Mahesh Bennekal, Nephrologists of the hospital were the main speakers at the event.
Dr. Niranjan Kumar (Vice Chancellor SDM University), Dr. U S Dinesh (Registrar SDM University), Dr. Ratnamala (Principal SDM Medical College), Dr. Akkamahadevi (HOD of Nephrologist), Mr. Manoj Nayak (Jeevasarthakathe) and Mrs. Sheetal Mundada (MOHAN Foundation) were also present on the occasion.
The welcome speech delivered by Dr Naik. Dr. Bennekal explained the concepts of organ donation. Mr. Manoj Nayak shared the role of Jeevasarthakathe and Mrs. Sheetal Mundada, elaborated on the concept of grief counseling and gave an overview of MOHAN Foundation’s activities.
The event came to a close with Dr. Mahesh Bennekal delivering the vote of thanks. Around 50 enthusiastic people attended the highly interactive session and all the hospital staff pledged their organs. MOHAN Foundation is thankful to SDM Hospital for organising an event of this kind.
