  • On September 30, 2025, MOHAN Foundation, in collaboration with the Directorate of Health Services (DHS), Manipur, participated in a Health Camp organized under the ongoing “Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan” at the Ayushman Arogya Mandir (AAM) Sub Centre, Haorang Sabal, Imphal West. Representing MOHAN Foundation were Ms. Laishram Monica Devi, Program Coordinator (Northeast) & Project Lead (Manipur), and Mr. Bidyananda Laishram, Program Executive (Senior).

The camp, coordinated by Ms. Subhashini Athokpam, Community Health Officer (CHO), along with support staff, offered a wide range of services including Digital ABHA ID registration, medicine distribution, immunization, and screenings for non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as hypertension and diabetes.

During her session, Ms. Monica highlighted the critical and life-saving importance of organ donation and its impact on improving quality of life. She explained the two forms of donation—living and deceased—and clarified key concepts such as brain death and coma. She also emphasized the gap between organ demand and availability, outlined procedures and eligibility for pledging, and addressed common misconceptions with evidence-based information. The session concluded with a strong call to action, encouraging participants to pledge their organs and tissues and to discuss their decision with family members.

Informational pamphlets on organ and tissue donation were distributed, and a pledge counter was set up at the venue. The camp was attended by around 60 participants, including community members and healthcare professionals, with 7 individuals coming forward to pledge their organs and tissues.
