

On July 9, 2026, MOHAN Foundation organized an organ donation awareness programme at Agartala Government Medical College and Govind Ballabh Pant (AGMC & GBP) Hospital, Kunjaban, Agartala, West Tripura. The session was conducted at Medicine Block Outpatient department (OPD) as part of the foundation’s ongoing efforts to promote awareness about organ donation and transplantation.
Ms. Nipa Modak, Programme Executive, MOHAN Foundation, Tripura, was the resource person for the programme. Mr. Biswajit Debbarma, Programme Executive, MOHAN Foundation, Tripura, was also present during the programme.
The session commenced with an introduction to MOHAN Foundation, followed by distributing informational leaflets on organ donation. Ms. Nipa Modak then spoke about the significance of organ donation, the types of donors (Living and deceased), and how a single donor can save multiple lives through the donation of organs such as the heart, liver, kidneys, pancreas, intestine and lungs.
Approximately 27 participants attended the programme, allowing for focused interaction and engagement within the Medicine OPD setting at AGMC &GBP.
