On 2ndDecember 2023, MOHAN Foundation was invited to conduct an awareness program on organ donation for National Service Scheme students and staff members of Western College of Commerce and Business Management (WCCBM) Sanpada.
Close to 146 participants participated in the session.
Ms. Prarthana addressed the gathering by discussing about MOHAN Foundation and its activities. She began her presentation by asking the participants about their personal thoughts and feeling about organ donation.
Thereafter, she touched upon the below topics about organ donation:
1. Concept of body donation and its procedure.
2. Types of death.
1. Brain death
2. Cardiac death
3. Types of donors
4. Procedure of eye donation and skin donation.
5. How to pledge our organs.
The session was highly interactive and the participants expressed their views and opinion and raised certain questions, which were as follows:
The session inspired and motivated 72 participants to pledge their organs. The participants and organizers appreciated Ms. Prarthana for her noble work on organ donation.
