Updated on Thursday, February 19, 2026
  • The MOHAN Foundation was given the chance to raise awareness about organ and tissue donation on February 18, 2026, at the Tambaram Central LIONS Club's monthly meeting. There were about sixty-five members present at the Ruby Manor Apartment, Tambaram. S. R. Raja, the Chengalpattu district's MLA, graced the occasion, lending the program more importance. In her educational presentation on the importance of organ and tissue donation, Ms. Kanishka, addressed common misconceptions and facts while outlining the eligibility requirements, the need for donors in India, and the detailed donation procedure. Members enthusiastically participated in the conversation, offered their opinions, and raised commonly asked issues about donor registration, family approval, and the openness of organ distribution during the very dynamic session.

At the location, an information station was set up, and all attendees received informational booklets and green ribbons as a sign of support for organ donation. Members went to the counter to ask their questions, and indicated that they were willing to raise awareness among their own networks. Two members came forward and pledged to donate their organs.

The club members appreciated the initiative and acknowledged the importance of conducting such awareness programmes in community forums. The MOHAN Foundation is deeply appreciative of Ln Srinivasan's ongoing assistance and opportunity.
