  On 12^th November 2022, Mr. Bulu Behera was invited by Mrs.Veena - Transplant Coordinator of Zonal Transplant Coordinator Centre (ZTCC) as well as lecturers of Matru Sewa Sangh Institute of Social Work, Nagpur.

  Mr. Bulu addressed the gathering and discussed the following with the students

  1. Concept of  organ donation
  2. Brain death and Circulatory death was explained in detail
  3. Types of donors
  4. Who can donate?
  5. Donor card and its importance
  6. How to pledge our organs in order to save and enhance lives.

   

  Questions asked by participants were as follows:

  • How many hospitals perform hand transplant  & what is the cost?
  • What are the opportunities  for Transplant Coordinator Courses?

   

  16 BSW students participated in this programme and 3 of them signed the consent form.
