  On 12^th August 2022, Ms. Rashmi conducted an organ donation session for associates of Courtyard by Marriott, which is a 5 star hotel in Andheri, Mumbai. Dr. Ishita – Manager of Prudent Insurance Brokers organized this session.

  Ms. Rashmi Shetty was the key resource for the day. She walked through the concept of organ donation and transplantation. The audience were made aware of the effective usage of organ donation helpline 1800 103 7100. Types of organ donations, how to register as an organ donor, concept of brain death and circulatory death was discussed in detail.

  She also explained the importance of donor card and encouraged each and every one to pledge their organs. Topic on how to associate with MOHAN Foundation was elaborated.

  A demo on how to pledge our organs through MOHAN Foundation website was shown to the audience. The session was interesting and interactive. Certain questions asked by the audience were as follows:

  1. After a person dies, within what duration of time corneas can be donated?
  2. Why is skin donation important?

   

  All the questions were answered patiently and with examples. 20 people attended this session, The session motivated the audience to pledge their organs.
