  The Murugappa Polytechnic College was established in August 1957, as a Government aided Polytechnic by AMM Charities located at Sathyamurthy Nagar, Avadi, Chennai. To commemorate Organ Donation Day an awareness session was organized for students to know about the Concept of Organ Donation.  The session was conducted in the campus on August 12, 2022 by a team from MOHAN Foundation comprising of  Mr. Ganesh, Marketing Coordinator and intern students from MMM College, Ms. Gayathri and Ms. Nagashree

  The awareness talk was given by Mr. Ganesh who briefly explained the concept of organ donation, brain death, transplantation, safe guarding against false scams, myths on organ donation, registering as Organ Donor/Recipient and effective usage of Organ Donation Helpline: 1800 103 7100. Meanwhile the intern students from MMM College, Ms. Gayathri and Ms. Nagashree supported with green ribbons and information pamphlets. After the session, students raised many interesting questions on organ donation. A student shared his own experience about blood donation and also motivated other students to donate blood.

  142 students and teaching staff participated and made the event a memorable one. The session was calm and the students gave positive feedback stating “the session was very informative”. The College Management was presented with Organ Donation Helpline  Publicity Stickers for placing on the college vehicles. MOHAN FOUNDATION whole heartedly thank  Mr H Narayanan, Chief Executive, AMM Foundation, Dr K. Sudhagar, Principal,  Mr. M. Suresh Head of Department (Electrical and Electronics Engineering) and Mr. G. Nallaiya, NSS Programme Officer for this wonderful opportunity.
