MOHAN Foundation was invited by Dr. Satish Kadam to speak on deceased organ donation and set an information stall on 05 August 2018. The occasion was Nischay Din (death anniversary) in memory of late Shri. Ganesh J. Kadam. The venue was Acharya Vinoba Bhave Vichar Kendra, Dharampeth, Nagpur,
Dr. Ravi Wankhede Director of MOHAN Foundation, Nagpur conducted that talk. In his talk he explained the concept of organ donation, brain death and donation process. He highlighted which organs and tissues can be donate after brain death and after natural death, information about living transplant. He explained that after brain death it is impossible to come back to life & the organs from a brain dead person can save more than eight lives if the family is willing for the donation.
After the talk he gave information about MOHAN Foundation activities as well as helpline number. There after he request to all to use MOHAN Foundation website and toll free number to clarify doubts. 50 family members and friends of the Kadam family attended the talk.
Mr. Bulu Behera managed the information stall, where 25 visited to stall and 15 signed the consent form and picked their donor cards.
