On April 03, 2025 an awareness session on Organ Donation was organised for the staff of Cloud Nine hospital, T Nagar, Chennai. The audience were from the departments of pharmacy, human resources, administration and housekeeping.
Ms. Sangeetha K, Project Executive of MOHAN Foundation opened the session with introduction about Organ Donation and how it is important to know about organ donation. Then she discussed the concept of brain death, organ donation, myths in the minds of the public. She explained the procedure of pledging for organ donation, and the service of a toll free helpline offered by MOHAN Foundation. She spoke of the other activities of the NGO.
To refresh the information given by Ms Sangeetha, Mr. Ganesh, Marketing Coordinator conducted a quiz based on tamil films. It was very interactive. One of the employee’s relative was on the waiting list for kidney transplant clarified all his doubts.
26 staff participated and 19 picked the donor card. MOHAN Foundation extends its warm gratitude toward Cloud Nine Hospital for this opportunity.
