On January 17, 2026, Mr. Gabriel Pereira, Organ Donation Ambassador for MOHAN Foundation, set up an organ donation information desk at a blood donation camp organised by Lourdes Convent High School in collaboration with Loving Hearts Goa and the North Goa District Hospital (Asilo) Blood Bank.
The camp was sponsored by Peppy’s Goan Kitchen Caterers, Porvorim, Goa. It commenced at 9:30 a.m. and concluded at 12:30 p.m. The Headmistress, Sr. Antonette Pereira, formally inaugurated the camp by lighting the traditional lamp and leading a welcome song, inviting the parents to participate.
Loving Hearts Goa is a group founded by Mr. Ranjit Rodrigues and comprises regular voluntary blood donors who actively organise blood donation camps. Mr. Mark D’Souza serves as the President, Mr. Gabriel Pereira as the Secretary, and Mrs. Sanyukta Gawde as the Treasurer. At every camp organised by the group, Mr. Gabriel ensures the setup of an organ donation information desk.
During the event, approximately 36 informational flyers were distributed to donors. Mr. Gabriel addressed frequently asked questions and guided participants using a QR code for pledging as organ donors, emphasising the importance of saying yes to organ donation. As a result, four individuals pledged to become organ donors.
At the conclusion of the programme, Mr. Gabriel expressed his sincere gratitude to Headmistress Sr. Antonette Pereira, FMCK (Franciscan Missionaries of Christ the King). Mr. Ranjit Rodrigues, and Mr. Mark D’Souza for their continued support of this noble cause and for their collaboration with the MOHAN Foundation
