On February 26, 2023, the MOHAN Foundation put up an information desk on organ donation at the Kidney Health Camp in Poinguinim, Canacona. The camp was organised by the Victor Hospital in association with JCI Fatorda Town, the Rotary Club of Margao Midtown, the Blood Relations Foundation, Poinguinim, and TITTO Sports & Cultural Club, Welwada. It was a free kidney health camp, and the timing was from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Dr. Raghuram Bhatt (Nephrologist and Transplant Physician) and Dr. Madhuja Sawaiker (Senior Consultant and Urologist) gave a talk on kidney care and answered some questions of the attendees at the Shradhananad Vidhalaya Hall Poinguinim, Canacona.
There was a FREE consultation with doctors, physiotherapy, and nutritionists, and a BP and sugar check-up was done. A free bone mineral density test was also conducted.
Mr. Gabriel John Pereira, MOHAN Foundation, gave FAQs on organ donation to the people who visited the camp. Close to 40 people were handed the FAQs and 3 people pledged to donate their organs.
