On April 5 and 6, 2024, Mr. Gabriel Pereira, Organ Donation Ambassador for the MOHAN Foundation, set up an organ donation information desk at the summer pop-up organized by Aarushi Creations at Caculo Mall, Panjim. The event ran for three days, from April 5 to 7. There were stalls featuring ethnic wear, bags, Goan snacks, and sweets.
The summer pop-up was open from 10 am until 9 pm, and it attracted a large number of visitors as the festival of Gudi Padwa was approaching. Gabriel distributed around 200 frequently asked flyers and engaged with attendees about organ donation, encouraging them to consider becoming donors. Additionally, he presented a brief animated presentation on organ donation by Shweta Gupta.
Ten individuals pledged to donate their organs upon death as a result of Gabriel's efforts and the information provided at the desk.
