On February 10, 2024, Mr. Gabriel Pereira, Organ Donation Ambassador, MOHAN Foundation, set up an Organ Donation Information Desk at the Blood Donation Camp organised by St. Britto High School and Caring Souls in collaboration with Goa Medical College—Blood Bank, Bambolim, Goa.
Mr. Vivan Lobo (St. Britto Batch 1995), Prop. of ARTE'D'OURO—Cell World (Samsung Smart Café, Porvorim, Goa), supported the camp.
The camp was held from 9.30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the school hall. Around 82 people came forward to donate blood, but only 63 were fit to do so. Most of the people had donated previously, but a couple were first timers.
Mr. Gabriel displayed two videos on the display: What Is Brain Death? and a brief animated presentation by Shweta Gupta on organ donation. He distributed approximately ninety FAQs and spoke to parents about organ donation and why we needed to come forward to pledge.
