MOHAN Foundation was invited by Dr. D. T. Powar, Regional Transport Officer, Giripeth, Nagpur to conduct an awareness session on organ donation. The program was held on 30 August 2016 for drivers who apply for vehicles registration and driving license.
Mr.Bulu Behera delivered a talk on Organ donation. He explained what, who, when, which and how of Organ Donation and Transplantation. He also spoke of the myths that people have. He told the audience of the role of ZTCC and MOHAN foundation.
Approximately 25 drivers were present during the talk. 4 drivers took the donor card.
The Drivers asked the following questions:-
How much time taken for eye donation?
If death happens at home then how organ donation can happen?
How many people have given their consent for organ donation?
