On 2 August 2016, MOHAN Foundation was invited by Dr. D. T. Powar, Regional Transport Officer, Giripeth, Nagpur to conduct an awareness session on organ donation. The audience were drivers, who apply for vehicles registration and driving license.
Mr. Bulu Behera delivered a talk on Organ donation. In his talk he explained the concepts of organ and tissue donation. He clarified the difference between natural death, brain stem death and come. He gave information on the hospital doing transplants and told a donor story.
He gave a list of information sources for the drivers to find out more about organ donation.
Approximately 30 drivers were presented during the talk. 2 drivers took the donor card.
