On 18th February 2021, Mr. Bulu Behera was invited by Matru Sewa Sangh Institute of Social Work in Bajaj Nagar, Nagpur by Dr. Keshav Walke an Associate Professor at the college, to conduct an online awareness session for sensitizing their 2nd year MSW students.
After introducing MOHAN Foundation and its activities, Mr. Bulu Behera shared information about the concepts and process of organ donation, organs and tissues that can be donated and need for spreading awareness about organ donation. He then went on to discuss some of the common myths that prevent the public from pledging their organs. Inspiring stories of donors and recipients were shared with the audience.
Mr. Bulu Behera nvited the participants to join the MOHAN Foundation ambassadors programme. He also gave information about the details of the toll-free organ donation helpline number and registering online as an organ donor.
15 students were present during the session and 5 of them signed up as organ donors. MOHAN Foundation is thankful to MSSISW for the opportunity and their continued support for the cause.
