On 22nd September 2019, Sreelakshmi V, a student volunteer of MOHAN Foundation conducted an awareness programme on organ donation at the family get together of Samantha Samajam Kozhikode Unit members. It was an Onam celebratory event that had around 100 people present. The event also saw scholarships being distributed to financially backward students of the community. A few doctors were also part of the audience.
Sreelakshmi’s talk lasted 30 minutes. The session was very interactive and the audience was enthusiastic to know more about organ donation. Sreelakshmi received appreciation for her presentation. She explained in detail the procedure to register as an organ donor online on the MOHAN Foundation website. Most of the audience expressed willingness to register as organ donors and promised to do it online. MOHAN Foundation appreciates Sreelakshmi’s commitment and passion towards the cause and applauds her efforts to promote organ donation.
