Organ Donation Awareness at Nagarjuna High School, Ibrahimpatnam

  • On December 5, 2025 - A tremendous and impactful organ donation awareness session was successfully held at Nagarjuna High School, Ibrahimpatnam. The initiative, led by Project Manager Mr. Venkatesh Kattela, aimed to introduce the vital concept of organ donation to young students and educators.

    The program delivered an engaging and informative session that successfully reached over 217 students and faculty members spanning grades 5 to 9. The enthusiastic support from the Principal’s and teachers was sincerely appreciated and contributed significantly to the session's positive atmosphere.

    The presentation covered all critical aspects of organ donation, providing attendees with clear, accurate information essential for informed decisions:

    • The definition and various types of organ donation.
    • The essential distinction between brain death and cardiac arrest.
    • The significance of carrying a donor card.
    • The procedural aspects of the consent process.
    • Common myths and misconceptions surrounding organ donation.
    • The pressing societal need for organ donation.
    • The THOTA, 1994

    We are pleased to note that the session successfully motivated many participants to take action, with numerous students and faculty members already pledging their support to donate their organs. Notably, eight participants demonstrated their commitment by showing their pre-existing donor cards, providing a tangible, inspiring example to the audience.

    This successful session at Nagarjuna High School underscores the importance of introducing the concept of organ donation early, fostering a generation committed to humanitarian causes.
