A talk on organ donation was organized at Gokaraju Rangaraju College of Pharmacy on September 21st, 2012. The session began by screening the video which emphasises on organ donation and followed by the talk on organ donation by Ms. Hemalatha, Program Manager - MOHAN Foundation. The topics like the concepts of organ donation, ways of transplantation, difference between Brain death and coma, waiting list pool and organ allocation were explained to the pharmacy students. The session was very interactive, which helped audience to understand the deceased donation programme. Around 80 students participated and took donor cards. They also picked donor cards for their friends who did not attend the session. Around 30 students came forward to do the Public education campaigns to general public on Sunday, 23rd September, as part of their college’s social activity.
