On the occasion of Parish Day celebration, St. Sebastian Syro Malabar Church, Ottery invited MOHAN Foundation to address the church members on 2nd February 2014. This initiative was taken by Chennai Mission Association.
Ms. S. Kavitha, Marketing Coordinator, MOHAN Foundation delivered a talk on Organ Donation. She spoke on: Concepts of Organ Donation, Types of Donors, Organs that can be donated after natural and brain death, Importance of Donor Card, Statistics of organ donation for Tamilnadu and Kerala, Toll free helpline number.
She ended her talk by sharing few real stories, by which the whole group was moved. After the session a person from the group who shared her experience while donating her friend son’s organ. Queries were clarified. Nearly 100 people attended the session and all promised to take this message home and join hands for noble cause.
