On 14th October, 2014 MOHAN Foundation Chandigarh started off with creating awareness under the “Student Awareness Program”, in which all the students(class X to XII) studying in government schools will be covered.
On October, 14 the first awareness session was conducted at Government Model Senior Secondary School Sector-20 D and Govt. Model High School, Sector-20D Chandigarh in which around 100 students participated. Ms.Paramjit Kaur and Ms. Darshanjit Kaur who are the science teacher in the respective schools supported the Foundation in carrying out the activity.
The students who participated in the program were from the senior classes of the school. They were given presentation on Organ donation and brain death in detail by the Program Coordinator, Nilakshi.
Some of the students took the Donor cards to give it to their parents and promised to educate organ donation among their friend and family.
