On 15th October 2014, MOHAN Foundation Chandigarh conducted an awareness session for the school students of Government Model Senior Secondary School Sector-8, Chandigarh under the “Student Awareness Campaign” which started on, to cover all the students of government schools in Chandigarh.
Around 50 students participated in the program and they were from medical stream and were given a presentation on the phenomenon of Brain Death and the process of organ donation by the Program Coordinator Nilakshi. The myths and misconception associated with organ donation were also discussed and got cleared. Students asked so many questions after the presentation.
Around 10 donor cards were taken by the students as they liked the cause and want to ask their parents and friends to pledge their organs.
