  MOHAN Foundation was invited by Ms. Arti Jayaraj, Training Department, Viveks – The Unlimited Shop to put an informative stall on Organ Donation on 12.03.2015. This stall was organised as a part of their CSR activity. The EXPO was organized at Chennai Trade Centre from 11^th – 14^th April 2015.

   

  Ms. Kavitha, Ms. Sunitha and Mr. Jeyabal Coordinators of MOHAN Foundation manned the stall. They explained the concept on Organ Donation by one to one interaction. They discussed the following topics:

   

  • Importance and need of organ donation
  • Types of donations – live and deceased donation
  • Difference between Natural Death, Coma and Brain Death
  • Organs and tissues that can be donated in cardiac death and brain death
  • Eye donation
  • Importance of Donor card and helpline number

  
  Nearly 100 people who visited the stall and 50 of them pledged for organ donation.
