On 11th April 2015 Imayam Federation, Thiruvottiyur, Chennai celebrated their annual event and they planned an awareness drive on organ donation. One of the group leaders Ms. Muthuselvi felt that Organ Donation is very meaningful after death so she invited MOHAN Foundation to share about the concept of organ donation to the Self Help Group. Mr. Prakash K, Transplant Coordinator MOHAN Foundation participated and spoke about the importance of organ donation.
The session started with an interaction about the activities of MOHAN Foundation and followed presentation on Concept of organ donation.
The following topics were explained to the group:
Totally 200 Self Help Group members participated in the programme and all were given a information brochure. No one took a donor card - they wanted to discuss with their family.
