The first aid training program for school students was conducted on May 05, 2026, by the Punjab Red Cross Society. During the program, Ms. Meenu, Senior First-Aid Lecturer, invited SRDF-MF to conduct an awareness session on organ donation as part of the training. The purpose of the session was to educate young learners about the significance of organ donation while simultaneously equipping them with essential first aid skills. This initiative aimed to combine practical health education with values of empathy and social responsibility.

The session was organized in the school auditorium during the scheduled first aid training workshop. Around 120 Students from Classes VII to X participated enthusiastically. A certified first aid trainer from the Punjab Red Cross Society conducted the training, while SRDF-MF represented the organ donation awareness component and addressed the gathering. The format included an interactive lecture, multimedia presentations, and a question-and-answer session, which allowed students to clarify their doubts and engage meaningfully with the topic.

The session began with an introduction to organ donation, explaining what it means, who can donate, and how it directly saves lives. The speaker elaborated on the legal and ethical aspects of organ donation, emphasizing the importance of consent and family involvement. Real-life success stories of organ transplants were shared, inspiring students and helping them connect emotionally with the subject. Trainers also linked first aid practices to broader health responsibilities, showing how timely help and awareness can make a difference. Students actively participated in role-play activities and quizzes, which made the session interactive and memorable.

The session resulted in increased knowledge among students about organ donation and its societal impact. It fostered sensitivity towards health issues and empathy for patients in need. The integration of organ donation awareness into the school’s health education curriculum was a significant achievement. Feedback from both students and teachers was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing interest in spreading awareness further within their communities.

The organ donation awareness session, conducted alongside first aid training, proved to be both practical and socially impactful. It not only enhanced students’ emergency response skills but also instilled values of compassion and responsibility. Such initiatives are vital in shaping informed, empathetic citizens who are prepared to contribute positively to society.

SRDF-MF extends heartfelt gratitude to the Punjab Red Cross Society for organizing the first aid training program, and to the school administration and faculty for their support in hosting the session and encouraging student participation. Special thanks are due to Ms. Meenu, Senior First-Aid Lecturer, for her guidance and for facilitating the inclusion of organ donation awareness in the training. Their collective efforts ensured the success of this initiative, which will leave a lasting impact on the students and the community at large.
