On 1st June 2019, MOHAN Foundation’s Mrs. Jaya Jairam was invited by Dr Sengupta, the founder of a Senior Citizen’s group called “My Retired Life”, to conduct an awareness talk on organ donation, for its members at SIES College Complex, Nerul, Mumbai.
Mrs. Jaya Jairam explained the concepts of organ donation and there were a lot of queries on how can one take the pledge, what is whole body donation and where can the registration be done, how can one volunteer for the cause of organ donation and what is the process to register a person suffering from kidney failure.
All the queries were answered satisfactorily. Around 35 members attended the program and five of them ended up taking the pledge.
