Organ Donation Awareness Session at RTO Office, Wadala, Mumbai

  • On July 29, 2025, an organ donation awareness session was conducted at the Wadala RTO Office, Mumbai, targeting members of the general public present at the location. The session was atten ded by 45 individuals.

    Ms. Sakshi Kshirsagar commenced the session with an introductory talk on MOHAN Foundation and its mission. She educated the attendees on various key aspects of organ donation, explaining the difference between living and deceased organ donation. She also highlighted the types of organs and tissues that can be donated after death.

    A detailed explanation was provided on the concepts of cardiac death and brain stem death to clarify common misconceptions. In addition, Ms. Sakshi Kshirsagar informed participants about the option to express willingness for organ donation in the online RTO driving license application process.

    The importance of carrying a donor card was emphasized, along with the significance of discussing one’s decision to donate with family members.

    The session was highly interactive, with several attendees engaging in meaningful discussions and raising queries related to organ donation and the donor card.
