  • On December 2, 2025, MOHAN Foundation, Nagpur, conducted an organ donation awareness session at Dnyandeep Vidya Mandir, Karwahi, for high school students. The objective of the session was to create awareness about organ donation and encourage students to understand and support this life-saving cause.

The session was led by Ms. Neha Sailwar, who introduced the concept of organ donation and explained its legal and ethical aspects. She covered important topics such as what organ donation is, whether organ donation is legal or not, the difference between brain death and cardiac death, age limits for living and deceased donation, and the step-by-step process of taking an organ donation pledge.

During the session, Ms. Bhagyashree further engaged the students by sharing real-life stories of organ donation and transplantation, including the inspiring stories of Shreya and Anamta. She also explained the basic counselling process, helping students understand the emotional and decision-making aspects involved in organ donation.

An interactive question-and-answer session was conducted, during which students asked questions related to brain death, eligibility for donation, and the pledge process. All doubts were clarified to ensure better understanding.

Around 50 students actively participated in the session. The program concluded with a group photograph with the students and school staff.

MOHAN Foundation sincerely acknowledges Mr. Keshav Gorde, Principal, and the staff of Dnyandeep Vidya Mandir, Karwahi, for their cooperation and support in successfully conducting this awareness program.
