Cloudnine Hospital, Panchkula, hosted an impactful awareness session on organ donation for its nursing and non-medical staff on 26th February 2026. The initiative aimed to deepen internal knowledge and empower healthcare professionals to serve as advocates for this life-saving cause.
Since the participants were already familiar with medical terminology, the session emphasized the latest research and advancements in organ transplantation, effective counseling techniques for patients and families, and the importance of sensitivity and compassion in communication.
Around 25 Staff members actively participated in discussions, raising questions on religious concerns, cultural perspectives, and ethical dilemmas commonly faced in routine practice. These were addressed with clarity and evidence-based responses, reinforcing confidence among staff to counsel patients and families effectively.
Staff were encouraged to register as donors and spread awareness further. The session enhanced understanding of both medical and ethical aspects of organ donation. Additionally, participants gained the ability to counsel with greater confidence and empathy.
The program was a resounding success, inspiring staff to become ambassadors of this noble cause. It reaffirmed Cloudnine Hospital’s mission to promote ethical healthcare practices and strengthen community health education, highlighting the profound truth that one donor can save multiple lives.
