On December 1, 2025, MOHAN Foundation, Nagpur, conducted an organ donation awareness session at Government Technical High School, Deolapar, with the objective of educating students about the importance of organ donation and encouraging positive attitudes toward this life-saving cause.
The awareness session was conducted by Ms. Neha Sailwar, who introduced the concept of organ donation and explained its significance in saving lives. She covered key topics such as what organ donation is, the importance of organ and tissue donation, and addressed common myths and misconceptions to ensure students had a clear and correct understanding of the subject.
Following this, Ms. Bhagyashree shared real-life stories related to organ donation, which helped students connect emotionally with the topic and understand the real impact of organ donation on recipients and donor families. She then took the session forward by conducting an interactive question-and-answer session, encouraging students to actively participate and clarify their doubts.
During the Q & A session, students asked questions regarding who can donate organs, age limits for organ donation, whether donation is possible after natural death, what is brain death, and the role of family consent in the organ donation process. All queries were addressed in a simple and student-friendly manner for better understanding.
Around 60 students actively participated in the session and showed keen interest throughout the program.
MOHAN Foundation extends its sincere gratitude to Ms. Shilpa Waghmode and the school authorities of Government Technical High School, Deolapar, for their valuable support, coordination, and for providing an opportunity to conduct this awareness session successfully.
