  • MOHAN Foundation was invited to participate in the Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2025 – Hardware Editionconducted from December 8 - 12,  2025 at Chennai Institute of Technology, Chennai. 

    In the afternoon session on Day 1, Mr. Ganesh from MOHAN Foundation conducted an organ donation awareness program for approximately 150 students. During the session, students were informed about the importance of organ donationthe current need for organs in Indiaand how one donor can save multiple livesThe talk also covered common myths and facts related to organ donation and explained the process of organ and tissue donation.

    Special emphasis was given to the role of technology in organ donationincluding questions and discussions on technological developments that can be used to transport organs safelyimprove coordination between hospitalsreduce time delaysand enhance tracking and preservation of organsStudents showed keen interest and actively participated by asking questions and sharing ideas.

    Meanwhile, Mr. Ganesh C, Senior Project Executive, MOHAN Foundation, set up an information desk that functioned throughout the five-day hackathon. The desk offered detailed information on organ donation, donor registration, and addressed queries raised by students, mentors, and visitors. During this five-day period, a total of 640 individuals were sensitized on organ donation, and 12 individuals voluntarily pledged their support, reflecting a positive response to the awareness initiative.
