  • On June 10, 2025, the Nagpur Ecumenical Fellowship, in collaboration with NCCI – Urban Rural Mission, organized a dual-theme awareness program on Organ Donation and Anti-Child Labour Day. MOHAN Foundation was invited as a key participant to lead the organ donation awareness segment.

The session began with a presentation by Dr. Sameer Jahagirdar (IMA), who emphasized the urgent need for organ donors in India, using compelling statistics to highlight the lives lost due to organ shortages. He also addressed common myths surrounding organ donation, providing clarity through data and real-life cases.

Following this, MS Veena Wathore from MOHAN Foundation spoke about the organ donation process, legal and ethical considerations, and the Foundation's on-going initiatives, including public awareness efforts, certificate courses, and the Anudan project. Her talk helped demystify the process and encouraged informed decision-making among attendees.

MS Bhagyashree from MOHAN Foundation distributed informative brochures. Several participants expressed interest. Intern Pratham Dalvi also attended the session.

The event saw the participation of 20 attendees, including local leaders, faith-based groups, and social workers. The active engagement and Q&A session reflected a growing public interest in organ donation and the need for a collective, value-based approach to such causes.

MOHAN Foundation’s presence played a crucial role in advancing the dialogue on organ donation and promoting a culture of compassion and informed giving.
