MOHAN Foundation was invited by CURA Healthcare Private Ltd., to give an awareness talk on “Organ Donation” on November 17th 2010. Around 40 members attended the awareness programme. Transplant Coordinator from MOHAN Foundation gave a presentation on Concepts of Organ donation, Organ Donor Types, Brain Dead Donors, Significance of multi organ donation, ethical issues. Few donor stories and the experience of Transplant Coordinator in coordinating the organ donation process were shared with the employees. The audience raised queries regarding the organ allocation, role of family, myths about organ donation. They also expressed their support for this noble act by pledging for organ donor card.
